St Vincent de Paul - Carina Conference
The St Vincent de Paul Society aspires to be recognised as a caring Catholic charity offering “a hand up” to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.
The St Vincent de Paul Society, Carina Conference is run entirely by the goodwill of volunteers (approx. 12). The primary role of the Conference is to assist clients with emergency food and finance relief within the Carina/Carindale Community. SVDP Mission
The Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society. |

The primary role of the Conference is to assist clients with emergency food and finance relief within the Carina/Carindale Community. The people we visit are living in extremely poor conditions often struggling for a range of reasons (for example, substance abuse, literacy problems, gambling addiction and domestic violence). Without the help from the SVDP Carina Conference many families would not be able to simply put food on the table. The Conference volunteers are now visiting up to approx. 55 - 60 clients a month.

Funding
At Our Lady of Graces, Carina the St Vincent de Paul Conference (Branch) tries to generate its own funding to undertake its services. All funds generated by the Conference or donated to the Conference go directly to assisting those in need within the local Community. We are very appreciate of the ongoing support we receive from the Parish, the School/s Community and the wonderful parishioners at Our Lady of Graces who without their support and generosity we simply could not undertake the services we do to support the many individuals and families who are in need within our Community.
